Lane does passive real estate investment, buy-and-hold, not house flipping. He discusses the formulas he uses for choosing properties and emphasizes the idea that you don't have to make a ton of money on each property...several "mini-pensions" coming in each month will set you up for your retirement quite easily. The key is to build assets that have a positive cash flow - many investments don't result in cash until you sell them, so they're not really assets until you sell.
