Collaboration is Key - with Randye Kaye

Published on: 31st July, 2022

Randye Kaye is no stranger to hard work! She's been making her way in this world all her life, and she's brought up her kids along the way, teaching them how to make the most of whatever life gives you.

Reinvention is something that can happen at any time in life; being ready to try new things is always beneficial, but especially so as we age. Randye talks about the various careers she's tried throughout her life, and about the books that she's written:

Ben Behind His Voices - One Family's Journey from the Chaos of Schizophrenia to Hope is her story of the struggle her family has waged to bring happiness back to their lives after serious medical issues were discovered.

Happier Made Simple - Choose Your Words. Change Your Life helps readers take small, immediate steps to be happier, reduce stress, and change the narrative of their stories. She has taken seven core concepts with the acronym BREATHE and applied seven core phrases to the concepts:

  • Being - Be Here Now
  • Reality - It Is What It Is
  • Engagement - We're All Connected
  • Appreciation - This Is Good
  • Trust - All Will Be Well
  • Humor - Isn't That Interesting?
  • Esteem - Whatever Happens, I'll Handle It

Definitely a multipotentialite, Randye is a national voice talent and actress, a part-time newscaster and classical music host on NPR affiliates WSHU-FM and AM, a gifted audiobook narrator; she speaks frequently to professional providers and families about the process of coping with the challenges – including stigma – when mental illness strikes a loved one. She hosted the talk show “Issues and Answers” on Connecticut TV, “The Life Talk show” on radio and podcast, and now produces and hosts the podcast “Schizophrenia: 3 Moms in the Trenches.

Please reach out to Randye on either of her book websites listed above, on her Facebook podcast page, or via LinkedIn.
